If Ronnie Coleman and Dexter Jackson were both the same size, Dexter would win, but the reality is, Ronnie is just so much bigger it's too much for Dexter to handle at around 5'6 and 230 pounds of so (shredded).

Who knows though - it depends on how the contests are judged. For now, Ronnie Coleman will continue to win unless the judging changes, because at the moment, extreme mass does pay off. Dexter came fourth after three guys who were all bigger than him at the 2004 Mr. Olympia, despite Dexter's razor sharp conditioning.

Definitely. I think Lee Labrada was said to have beaten Lee Haney at the 1990 Mr. Olympia. I will be able to give a better formulated opinion once I get the VHS and write a review of the contest.

Talking He matches him from the back

In the front photos - all of them - Ronnie is clearly dominant. Even in the ab department (I know popular opinion doesn't like to hear this, but it's true) Ronnie has thicker abs and they're just more defined. Asthetically speaking, and genetically speaking, Dexter has a more balanced set of abs, and his obliques are perfect. Ronnies are massive, sculpted and they manage to taper to the middle to form the v-shape. That's what judges are more concerned about, rather than symmetry when it comes to genetics - has this guy developed HIS genetics to his best ability?

Now when it comes to back, in almost every shot Dexter manages to at lesat meet ronnie about 95%. His erector spinae and lower back are even MORE defined than Ronnies, but ronnie has more muscle in the lower back region, of course do to his amazing squat (800 lbs!) and deadlifting (Last we saw on video, nearly 800 pounds).

Dexter seems to match Ronnies size in the delt department, and even has more ripped delts than Ronnie.

Triceps look evenly matched to me, with Ronnie having SLIGHTLY more definition.

Legs - sorry, noone touches Ronnie here. He's just huge, ripped, and freaky.

Calves - Ronnie wins.

And both of thier glutes look like a pear of pecs in reverse. Unreal.

Having said all of this, Dexter should have at least taken third. I know that Badell came a long way from his sub-10th place finish in 2003 to a third place finish in the Olympia of 2004 simply because of how much self improvement he's made. But on the other hand, Dexter promised more size and more definition - he managed to improve his physique even more from 2003, which was his best showing prior to 2004.

I think Dexter should have placed 3rd, if not Second. But the hype and hope is so high for Cutler that they seem to be setting him up just in case Ronnie doesn't manage to make the Olympia for some reason. Dexter deserves it, but I think Badell is being set up for a permanent three spot for a time to come.
