What are we eating? What's in the food?

I've seen a few threads that ask how to loose weight or how long does it take? I've seen many who suggest supplements for loosing weight and gaining muscle and everything in between.

How many of you check the lables of the food products you buy? Do you know what's REALLY in the food you eat? Why is America the fattest nation in the world? Why do we need sugar in our salt? Why do we need sugar in everything we eat? Sugar corn syrup dextrose sucrose dehydrated cane syrup high fruitose corn syrup just to name a few are in almost everything we eat, you can't hardly find anything in the super market without one of these additives. WHY? Why does everything have sugar in it? They call sugar all these different names to fool people into thinking it's something else when in fact it is sugar!

Have we all become addicted to sugar? Can we live without it? Would we go through withdrawal if it were taken away? What advantage health wise does it give us?

If we would read labels and buy accordingly we could truly cut out the fats and sugars in our diets and we could see the changes it could make in our bodies and minds, our attitudes too as we are in an addicted state? We have to have our sugar and fats!

Ice cream, donuts, candy cake cookies soda pop gum Mc Donalds, Hardy's, BurgerKing, Wendy's, Taco Bell, you name it we get our fats and sugars by the ton every year and what are we doing to our health?

What am I trying to get at? We want to lift weights to become healthy and strong and we want to be healthy and strong forever but we buy all these things that tear our systems down and shorten our live spans? Why?

We wouldn't need all these supplements and steroids and the hype that the mags put out to be strong and healthy if we just cut out these two things in our diet. It would also save us money as the "junk foods" are the highest expense in our food buget. We ought to think about eating healthy and wise and forget about the supplements and steriods everybody is trying to pedal. If we cut the sugar and fats in our diet we would all be surprised at how we looked and felt.

Next time you shop for your diet, look at the labels and read what they have in them. You WILL BE SURPRISED. Try to stick with whole natural foods, grains, vegetables, fruit and meats, poultry and milk.

It sure has made a difference in my health. There is another way! So what do you think about it?
