Syntha-6 Moccachino is the most amazing tasting protein I have ever had. No lies! It tastes like Nestle's Ice Java syrup mix!

That's what I'm talking about - no joke, it doesn't taste like a supplement at all. I think that is definitely the mark of a good supplement - when it actually tastes like candy or a dessert. Granted, premium quality comes at a higher cost but you can still get it for $8.52/lb which is not bad. It's definitely worth trying, especially for flavour junkies.
The least expensive protein powder I know of is ISS Research Whey Matrix, which costs 5.39/lb. Here is the thread for the Whey Matrix:

Ya, it tastes almost TOO good, I have to remember that each scoop is 200 calories, plus milk that is 300 calories!

It doesn't even taste that dense in calories...
I'm not saying BSN isn't producing what it claims but I do remember back in the day (2002), when Mass Quantities was tested and shown to have less than half the protein which was claimed on the label. So what did the owner of the company do? He said he would replace the lot number that was proven to have less protein than it was supposed to. LOL!!! Big deal...that is the LEAST he should have done.

I just tried a couple of sample packets of Syntha, yesterday. I wasn't too impressed with their chocolate. Their Strawberry shake was good though.
I still like to use the Met-Rx though. Their RTD's and MRP's. I trust them, since they've been around a while. Plus, their stuff doesn't taste too great, but it's not supposed to.......is it now?
You wanna talk great taste.....try the Pure protein "S'mores" bars........

Is that so? Well I'll definitely have to give the S'mores a try. I think that perhaps Met-Rx wanted their RTD's to taste good, but realistically, that is not common amongst health food. In fact, you kind of surprised me with the positive comments with the S'mores which is why I'm interested in trying them out. I've never known many supplements to taste that good), but some do surprise me. Honestly, I loved the taste of SIZEON by Gaspari Nutrition.
You will find my reviews are completely honest and if a supplement tastes like crap I will definitely point it out. Likewise, if it tastes great, I will point that out too.

On the topic of taste, is it really that important for a product to taste like a dessert milk shake or chocolate bar? Obviously the product must be at the very least palatable enough for ingestion without the gag reflex kicking in. I once purchased three tubs of "myo-plex" protein at a GNC because it was on clearance. Let me tell you, I wouldn't take that stuff if they paid me to! The consistency was reminiscent of pancake batter and the taste wasn't any better.
That is an extreme example. But, I am truly bewildered when people bitch about a product that isn't delicious, these are ergogenic aids, not ice cream and candy. Also, why do you think certain products taste more delicious than others? Its no magic folks, the taste is coming from a combination of artificial sweeteners (which the safety of which is under constant speculation), sugars, artificial flavoring agents, or fat. I am more concerned about whether the product will provide some sort desirable outcome related to my fitness goals, not whether it can replace a slice of cheesecake with chocolate sauce with coffee on the side.

Great post. I agree.
BTW, one time about 10 years or so ago, I purchased the "weider's" version of the Met-rx MRP, man, what fucking waste of money. It was supposed to be "strawberry" flavored, but I gotta tell you, never in my life had I tasted a "strawberry" that tasted like shit, until the day I bought that crap....
