NVE Protein Water

Introduction:

I am currently consuming a bottle of NVE Protein Water as we speak. I have completed another review for it which will be coming soon.

I purchased many bottles at Wal-Mart recently where they were selling them for $0.50 per bottle. The price was fantastic so I decided to purchase as many as I could, both for myself and my friends. Since I have another full review coming soon as well as reviews from others for this product, I will keep this one fairly brief.

Taste/Texture:

Since NVE Protein Water contains 0 calories, for taste, it is flavoured with 175mg of Sucralose. For more information on Sucralose, check out the links below:

The Sucralose did give it a full taste which was sour in nature as the flavour Sour Apple would indicate. I felt the taste was a little bit much at times and had somewhat of an aftertaste, but was otherwise pretty good, just strong.

Nutritional Content:

This product contains 80 calories in total which are entirely from protein, so that is pretty good. It contains 20mg of sodium as well as some calcium and iron. It has its share of artificial ingredients which might turn off some people, but which are commonly found in many products available on the market today. Overall, the nutritional content of this product is sound, depending on what your view is on the artificial ingredients which I mentioned above.

Price:

I paid $0.50 for each 575mL bottle of NVE Protein Water at Wal-Mart, although I suspect this product may be discontinued from other sources as well since www.bodybuilding.com no longer carries it and since the product was so cheap at Wal-Mart. However, if it is available in your area for $1 per bottle or less, I would say that price is well worth it.

Overall Review:

Given the very low price and quick and easy protein source that NVE Protein Water provides, I have to give it a favourable review as I did in the past, in approximately the 8/10 range in terms of an overall score. Although the artificial ingredients may deter some people slightly, I do not particularly mind and thus I will enjoy consuming the remaining bottles of the product that I have left.
