i wonder how he'll do at the arnold classic
if he comes in without any serious distension he might be able to do pretty well. he def has enough muscle to be compared to anyone, but i wonder if he'll get the symmetry and proportion down this time.

Here's his stats page:
http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/gregkovacs.html
He is huge no doubt, and from what I've heard - incredibly strong. Supposedly, he had 225 pound dumbbells specially made for his workouts - pretty amazing! Also, from all counts, he seems to be a nice guy. Hopefully he will do well at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic coming up soon.

all the way big dude. not sure how he'll place though - if his waist is in check he could do some damage - just like markus ruhl...it's hard to avoid that kind of size.

He already has more than enough muscle to be competitive, he just needs to work on fine tuning and conditioning. As long as he doesn't try to chase more size, and focuses and the little details, I could see him doing well at the Arnold. All that size will be hard to avoid if he can put it all together come showtime.

I don't follow the shows at all but isn't Gunter about the biggest in competition right now? This guys is bigger!!!! Taller and bigger all round! It would be great to see him get totally defined and he'd still go in heavier than anyone else. The guy has fantastic symetry, his proportions are great! If he can define it all it should do him well.

Thing is - the guy has great muscle mass, density, definition and all the rest, but he chased too much size for a long time and it cost him his midsection, which grew considerably in more recent contests (try a google search for Greg Kovacs at the 2001 Night of Champions contest and you might learn more).
I think he is now working with a top rate nutritionist and trying to dial things in better and focus on quality and the look he had in some of the pictures in that link above: quality and size, but not neglecting symmetry and his midsection.
I could see him placing very well if he keeps in mind the whole package and not just massive size.
